1. Spencer Trujillo. He is a BiteSquad driver. He would be my domain expert. He sees and interacts with the same type of people who would be calling me for help from college concierge. These delivery and driver services are the closest things to my idea of College Concierge. He is my pledge brother so I just asked him(theoretically) if he would be on board to help me get the business off its feet when I have to do it my self, he will be there for me as long as he gets paid a bit.
2. My expert on my market will go unnamed. The reason they are an expert and will go unnamed is because they have a created a "water pipe" cleaning service. While I do not do these things myself, I consider them to be experts because people call them, to come clean. This seems like a very simple thing, however, they still have customers. I contacted them by meeting in person as I met them freshman year. (Theoretically) we agreed that I would include their service into College Concierge and they would be the sole providers of this service in the app.
3. The last person I called was Shiela Woldenberg. My old boss. Since I needed help Hiring competent people, I asked how she knows who to hire. For example, who is trustworthy, hardworking, etc. I just gave her a call. I said to her that (theoretically) if i had to ask for help in starting my company, I would have to find someone to replace me for next summer at the day camp.
I feel that since I am more mature than I was in the past it was not hard to talk to these people. It felt like talking to a friend, almost like flirting a bit. Overall, while I think my career path will be with the Navy, this is always a back up.

19A – Idea Napkin No. 2
1) I am Jonathan (Jonny) Berger. I believe that I have a strong inclination of management. While trying to continuously get my leaderships skills higher I can manage a group and people and can get them to get things done while also being passionate about it. I have worked at a sleep away camp for two whole summers, at a day camp one whole summers, and I ran my own petting sitting business for two years as well. I can handle pressure as well people. If I can handle crazy pets and young children, I can handle employees and customers. My aspirations for the company are to make as many things possible convenient for my customers as well as help my employees. I foresee that the company will play a big role in my life as I will have to do the jobs and the inner workings of the company myself at the beginning.
2. I am offering essentially a wide variety of labor and services to locals in my area, and if there is expansion, surrounding areas as well. I am giving services at a lower cost than the professional counterparts, but my services will still be at the same level. the examples I use are movers, but they may be just college students trying to earn some money and they can pick that job up. other examples are picking up groceries and fixing minor jobs in a house or apartment.
3. The demographic of people will most likely be upper middle class to rich students and locals. Most people who cannot afford to get someone to do something, learn it and do it themselves. They will be lazy, very busy, incompetent, or just some people needing an extra hand, who need things done for them when they do not or cannot do the services themselves. However, all my customers need services done for them and are willing to pay.
4. Customers will pay money because they do not or cannot do these services themselves. they are paying for the help, or the worker to come and give them ease in their lives.
5. What I have that no one else has are the regular joes that can do these jobs at a professional or semiprofessional level, without that cost. People working will in reality be doing one-time jobs, or part time and this will keep my costs as well as customer pricing low. I believe I have the will and skill to lead a company like this and no one has the motivation to do this.
Some issue I found are the employees and their pricing. While I need to drive prices down, I also want my workers to get paid. I will need to find the happy medium of my percentage and theirs. But the strongest part of the business will be that people will like that a regular person is doing their work for them and that they are getting cheap pricing while offering someone work
Above is my old napkin. I only have one edit and it should be incorporated into the summary above. I will be figuring out the split with my workers and myself. Since they are using my reputation and app for business I will use a 20/80 split. I will keep 20% of the money and they will have 80%. However, there needs to be a contingency. This split will be subject to change. This may sound unfair and ruthless to change my employees earnings, but it is necessary to do sometimes in a business.
Feedback Memo- The feedback I received was for how my pricing with employees would work, and compliments on my management abilities. I incorporated my pricing issue above by inserting it into my explanation of my weak part of the business.

18A – Create a Customer Avatar
This is my avatar. She is a new comer to the University of Florida and really cannot, or will not do much without help. She loves to watch the bachelor and is always studying or going out when she is not. She drives a white A3 or Jetta. She really just needs help accumulating to being away from home and cannot do everything herself and needs some additional help. The things I have in common with my avatar is this is how most of my friends who are girls are. I know how they act and the things they need. besides that I like them because they are my friends, but cannot seem to do anything without texting me or my other friends for help. This person would be perfect for my business.

16A –What’s Your Secret Sauce?
1. It seems weird talking about yourself. I feel uncomfortable trying to figure out my human capital. I think i am very headstrong. I am always leading from the front to get the job done. I am very passionate, I love getting the job done right the first time. I am very persistent, I will keep trying until I get the resources or goal I want. I think i can talk to a brick wall and love to just talk and talk. I love learning, knowing as much as i possibly can.
2.
AAron my best friend
I asked him about my knowledge. We talked about some positives, he said I know a little about a lot and can keep and am always able to have a conversation. On some negatives, he claimed that I always had to be right and i will always correct people.

Stuart Berger My dad
In this interview we focused on my skills. It was very clear about the what my dad though of me. he said when i am assigned a responsibility or a job from someone else I go 110%. However he notices when he gives me a job or if I give my self a job i will just do it till its god enough.

Brooke best friend from home
I talked with Brooke about my emotions because she really knows me at my core. What i learned is that I am very passionate and am noticed in the room. She also told me that i am a hot head, and seem be irrational and very impatient at times.
https://soundcloud.com/jonny-94/brooke-interview
Halle Berger Older sister
I talked to Halle about my abilities. yet again she told me that I have the ability to get invested and passionate about something. However this came with with some downfalls. I seem to not like outside help, especially about things I am set in stone in my head.
Haley best friend since 3rd grade
I made up a topic to ask Haley. I asked her about my ability to talk to people and convince them to follow me. She said I am very good at seeing when people want to do things yet will not do it without some pushing. Yet again some negatives is that i can be mean in my pursuits, but she claims I do not realize I am being mean.
3. Sadly there seemed to be only one contrast between my list and my interviews. I seem to get angry and hot headed at my peers. This is something that I definitely need to fix. This is not a good quality to have. hopefully i can change this fire into something else.

15A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2
set of alternatives for a segment of freshmen at UF
I gave my three interviewees
three sets of alternatives to pick from:
1. Uber or Lyft
2. UberEATS or Bite quad
3. handy man or asking a friend
to help
I gave them these options and
told them to pick one from each set and I questions them on their decisions.
when I came to uber or lyft every single one chose uber. they said they know it
the best and that is the only thing they had an account for. It was interesting
because my friends and I all have both accounts. When I asked about set 2, I
got one uber eats and two bite squad. This was all about price. UberEATS
factors in distance to the price and the girl I asked was close to all her
favorite restaurants and that is why. The bite squad students live far off
campus and chose them because it is a set few and does not change with price. Finally,
for 3, it was all about severity of the problem. They said if it was hanging a
picture up or painting a wall or patching a hole, a friend is fine. But
anything more serious than that, they all wanted professionals.
for sets 1 and 2 it is clear
that they like using these services for convenience and not go to the locations
and just order online. They all pay with debit or credit cards. For both the
handy man and a friend they said they pay in cash. It is an upfront service and
they usually just pay right there so to not cause any issues.
they said as long as the order
is right, they got home safe and the job is done then they are happy with no
regrets. However, they seem to regret using ubers or food delivery when it is a
"weird and creepy" driver or they take too long to deliver food. They
had no idea how much a handyman would cost so they had no response.
From what I learned all that
matters here is price and convenience. they want it quick and now and seem to
not really care for the price. It is always cheaper to drive, pick up food
yourself, or watch a YouTube video and fix whatever it is. Convenience seems to
drive all these alternatives.

13A – Reading Reflection No. 1
1) You read about an
entrepreneur:
·
What surprised you the most?
·
What about the entrepreneur did you most admire?
·
What about the entrepreneur did you least admire?
·
Did the entrepreneur encounter adversity and failure? If so,
what did they do about it?
I was very surprised by how many companies he has his hands in
now and how many the has been a part of. I admired his ambition to keep pushing
and always having a goal, it seems he never gives up. I did not like how it
seems that he invented this companies when you hear about him, being an
investor and having shares is different. yes, they did. when Elon encountered adversity,
he seemed to just get out as soon as possible.
2) What competencies did
you notice that the entrepreneur exhibited?
he has always been very
competent in computer technology along with many forms of engineering.
3) Identify at least one
part of the reading that was confusing to you.
I was confused on how
Zip2 to work so well, and how he made it worth so much money.
4) If you were able to
ask two questions to the entrepreneur, what would you ask? Why?
How do you have the
hindsight to know what to invest in? If you could have created one idea instead
of someone else, what would it be?
5) For fun: what do you
think the entrepreneur's opinion was of hard work? Do you share that opinion?
I think that his opinion
of hard work was to do it till you reach your goals, the continue even harder.
I agree with this viewpoint, however, I feel like I would get burnt out.

14A – Halfway Reflection
1) Tenaciousness is a competency. What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
In reality the behaviors i have used for this course are working ahead and keeping in contact with friends. Much of the time if you start the work on Monday with most of the work due Friday it takes the weight off your shoulders as the due date approaches. Also i have many friends in the class. Whenever I am confused on a concept or need help with understanding an assignment i can always rely on my friends for guidance.
2) Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
I wanted to give up when i had to Interview five different people again for the third time. I felt as if i was going crazy trying to find more and more people to find. I think I developed a tenacious attitude because you need to keep pushing especially when it come to asking random people for interviews, even though most of them "have to get to class".
3) Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset' ?
The number one skill is do not be afraid to ask for help. Professors, TAs, and friends can always help you to keep pushing. To develop this mindset you need to just understand that while this class has many assignments, they will not be the must difficult, you just got to be creative! Finally, do not be taunted by an assignment, take it slow and figure it out, I promise it will come to you.

12A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1
segment- The segment I am choosing
are freshmen at universities.
Need awareness- I started out with
asking them all what type of services they need done for them that they do not
have time for or do not want to do. The first answer I got was laundry. I asked
what does she do then when she needs she laundry done. I was told she asks a
friend a to help her because she doesn’t have the time to do it all herself.
She always feels this need in between classes when she wants to change but has
no clothes and no time to do laundry. This showed me that this type of need
always comes from an incontinence and this is something that all my
interviewees had. Inconvenience and being busy is always when their need showed
up, less than they do not want to do it.
Search- When it came to searching
they usually just asked a friend, someone else said they used yelp because it
had a bunch of different options on it. Word of mouth and just simply asking
someone to help them or asking a friend for a reference. The yelp person seemed
to use a more thorough research method than anyone else by searching multiple
places then finally choosing one.
findings- I found out that by
automatically assuming my potential customers are lazy is bad. Much of the
reason I could possibly get business is because they are not lazy but hard
workers with less time for the little things.
conclusion- Essentially I find that
I can spend less on advertising because word of mouth can be a powerful thing.
it seems that many people just ask friends, roommates, etc. for help and or recommendations
and this will be my branding to pass my business from person to person.
